It’s the most wonderful time of the year…YES, I have begun the Christmas season, just like I said I would. Thanksgiving was fabulous. Wonderful food, friends and my traditional screening of “Miracle on 34th. Street”, right on schedule. I hope everyone had a good turkey day as well. Are you ready for the season?
I woke up on Friday, got Neil off to work, had some more caffeine and went into full holly jolly mode! Christmas music streaming and digging through the closet for the decorations. We don’t have too much, since we live in a small space, but just enough to be of good cheer. Stockings are hung, so we better be on good behavior…Santa is watching, LOL.
This really is my favorite time of year. By 9:30 a.m. I had the decorations up, lists made and was ready to sit down and watch a holiday movie. My lists consist of Christmas cards to write, presents to buy, food to purchase and the longest list of them all…the holiday movie watch list. We will be talking about all of these things throughout the season; so, get ready to tell me in each post all about your favorite things. And of course, we will be talking about THE reason we have Christmas…JESUS!!!!
I also decided to reread “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens this year. I can’t tell you the last time I read it and to tell you the truth, I don’t think I ever finished it. I was never a big fan of Dickens when I was younger; let’s see if I can make it through it this year. Fingers crossed….
OK, I gotta run…there is a peppermint mocha latte somewhere out there with my name on it and I must find it! Hopefully it will have the good sense to be accompanied by a scone.
****Question for the comments…What is one of your favorite things about this season?
